We’re glad you’d like to help rescue and place Samoyeds in need and invite you to become an SCSR supporter or volunteer.
Registered members receive invitations to events, notifications about available and adopted dogs, our Newsletter and the opportunity to become part of our rescue team, register here: Member Form.
If you’re pleased with what our rescue does for Samoyeds and their adopters, you can show your support by submitting a donation along with your form. Supporters are encouraged to make a yearly donation of any amount by June 30th each year. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Remember, we are a 501(c)(3) organization that is run entirely by volunteers, so your donations are tax deductible and 100% of every donation goes toward helping Samoyeds.

All volunteers automatically become supporters. Be sure to select every volunteer task that interests you and feel free to add others. Our team can always use help with our hotline, phones, home checks, shelter checks, vetting adopters, pairing dogs with homes, socializing dogs, newsletter contributions, media postings, website and database design and maintenance, fundraisers, special events, dog transportation and fostering.
Donate
As a non-profit organization, we depend on the efforts of volunteers and and your donations to keep doing our work. Costs incurred through our rescue work commonly include behavioral and medical evaluations, treatments, surgeries, dental care, vaccinations, microchipping, spaying, neutering, board, training, grooming, and transporting. Your contributions make all of this possible. One-time donations of any amount are welcome. You might also want to consider monthly, quarterly or yearly donations to continually help us save Sammies. Foster
Samoyed Rescue of So Cal is looking for volunteers to foster dogs who come to us needing a little extra time and care before being adopted. Needs may include, but are not limited to, socialization, basic training (leash, housebreaking, etc) and care during medical rehabilitation.
Generally, foster care will not include a healthy, well-behaved, cute, fuzzy puppy. SRSC has an extensive waitlist and can quickly find a good forever home for a readily adoptable dog.
Fostering provides a temporary home for the dogs that are not readily adoptable. If you can take care of one of our transitional dogs for a few weeks or a even a few days, you can help save a life! We’ll pay all expenses… food… vet care… you just provide a loving environment and help ready the dog for adoption while we find the right “forever” home.
