While Kaity may not be a Samoyed, she is a young, sweet girl that really needed our help. One of our volunteers saw her at a shelter and just couldn’t leave her.  Kaity was missing a lot of fur, and needed entropion eyelid surgery. Thinking she may not receive the care she needed at the shelter and may be at risk, SRSC jumped in to rescue her.

According to the shelter, her previous owners turned her in because they couldn’t afford her care. She wasn’t abused, just neglected and probably living in pain all of her young life.

Her fur loss was solely due to fleas. With treatment, her fur has grown back beautifully. SRSC paid for her eyelid surgery and she is 100% healed and happy.

As she healed, her silly personality started to blossom. We could tell she was feeling better and just wanted to hang out with people.

  • She is silly, sweet, energetic and excited to be around people
  • Is learning to enjoy other dogs.  She can show minor fear aggression, but is very receptive to quick corrections
  • Is responsive to treats
  • She pulls (a little) on the leash, needs basic puppy training
  • Enjoys car rides and pup cups
